Privacy Policy

In short: Freeroom collects no data. Your photos and videos are analyzed on your iPhone and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account, no tracking and no analytics SDK in the app.

Photo library

Freeroom asks for access to your photo library so it can find similar photos, duplicates, screenshots, Live Photos and large videos. All of this analysis, including the image comparison, runs entirely on your device. Results are kept in the app’s private storage on your iPhone so later scans are faster. They are removed when you delete the app.

When you delete, convert or compress items, Freeroom asks iOS to make the change. Deletions always go through Apple’s confirmation dialog, and deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

iCloud

If you use iCloud Photos, iOS may download an original from your own iCloud account to show, convert or compress it. That transfer is between your device and Apple; Freeroom does not see or store your iCloud credentials.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Freeroom receives only what StoreKit tells the app about your entitlement (for example, that Pro is active). We never receive your payment details.

Analytics

Freeroom contains no analytics or advertising code. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics such as downloads and crashes, as described in Apple’s own privacy policy.

Notifications and widget

The optional weekly reminder is a local notification scheduled on your iPhone. The Home Screen widget reads storage figures that the app keeps on your device. Neither sends anything off the device.

Children

Freeroom does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
